Lysle Shaw, LMSW is a Licensed Master Social worker and psychotherapist under the supervision of Tammy Linseisen, LCSW, ACSW. Her education includes study in clinical psychology, depth psychology, psychodynamic therapy, yoga therapy, and integrative health and nutrition. She has experience working with co-occurring disorders, personality disorders,
codependency, addiction, crisis, complex trauma, life transitions, and emerging identity across the life span. Lysle has a love for creativity and learning and is currently training in an attachment-based experiential
therapeutic model at The DEEP Center for Counseling and Psychotherapy Training.
Lysle is passionate about self-discovery, life transitions, identity, spirituality, meaning, and life purpose. Who am I? Where do I belong? What is next? How do I break free from rigid roles, deep-rooted patterns, and old ways of thinking that no longer work? With creativity, curiosity, and hope these are the questions Lysle explores with clients, no matter the age or stage of life. From adolescence through adulthood we strive for happiness, seek meaning, and ponder our deepest selves. Lysle’s goal is to help clients overcome roadblocks that paralyze this natural curiosity and inherent movement towards contentment and wholeness. Whether teen, college age, or beyond she believes each individual has the innate wisdom to make choices that reflect the truest self and in turn the capacity to flourish. Her goal is to help clients imagine infinite possibility, explore potential, and manifest desired change. Her hope is to assist clients on their journey to leading a more fulfilling and sustainable life.
Lysle brings an open heart, expansive mind, and gentle spirit to the therapeutic relationship. Her approach is collaborative and holistic incorporating tools to integrate and foster connection between the unconscious parts of oneself and the present moment. By honoring the “here and now” while at the same time taking a deeper look at past experience Lysle can help illuminate a new path forward. Expanded consciousness that brings about change is built through intentional cultivation and deeper knowledge of oneself; real and lasting change begins with awareness. Lysle offers a sacred space of unconditional acceptance and compassion that allows for the kind of trust and alliance essential to self-discovery and lifelong healing.
