Meet Lindsay!

Hello! I'm incredibly excited to introduce myself as the newest member of such a passionate and dedicated team!

Growing up in a small suburb of New Jersey, much of my childhood was spent in our very woodsy backyard. Catching salamanders, finding buried treasures, and crunching through leaves was and still is very much a part of me. Hiking and being outside is what brings me the most comfort and peace.

I attended the University of Rhode Island where, driven by my passion to influence social policy, I earned my degree in Political Science. I enjoyed many travel adventures, from studying abroad in West Africa to hiking part of the Appalachian trail. My final college adventure, working a summer with the NYC Coalition for the homeless, inspired me to pursue social work. There, I had the opportunity to live in a platform tent with adolescents for several months. I began that summer living with individuals who had built up so many walls to protect themselves, and I left with tear streaked kids who were given a safe environment and a support system that led them to show their amazing and vulnerable selves. I realized the incredible impact of a trusting relationship and the power of vulnerability. As Berne Brown beautifully stated, “daring greatly means the courage to be vulnerable. It means to show up and be seen. To ask for what you need. To talk about how you’re feeling. To have the hard conversations.” After this experience, I knew I wanted to support others grow into their most empowered selves.

Following graduation, I sought to discover more of myself and to challenge my independence. I moved to Austin and had the opportunity to explore not only this amazing city but also my deeper self. The seven years I've spent here have allowed me to pause, reflect, and grow tremendously as a person and as a clinician. I understand the utmost importance in finding and accepting your identity, and would be honored to walk that journey with you.

I received my Masters in Social Work from Texas State University in 2018, with an emphasis in eco therapy. I've explored working with individuals and children in many diverse capacities. From schools to eating recovery clinics to residential treatment centers, my approach is client centered and strengths based.

In short, I am a bookworm, nature lover, and novice baker who lives with my very sweet, very energetic dog Winston and supportive partner, Chris. Just as I have learned to embrace and respect my own individuality, I respect and admire the unique gifts of each person, and understand the courage it takes to seek out growth and change.
