Even though we're in the dog days of summer, it's time to plan for getting back into the school groove! We have a few workshops to tell you about that will help your tween or teen get ready to dust off the summer and kick the new school year off right!
On August 17, GirlTalk Therapy is offering workshops for girls entering 5th/6th grades and 8th/9th grades. We'll have activities to help her set goals for the coming year, plan ahead for challenges, and learn tools to navigate homework, friendships and more! Girls going into middle and high school experience lots of transitions, and this can be overwhelming. As schoolwork gets tougher, friendships can get trickier and families can feel the strain. These workshops, as well as our ongoing therapy groups, can help your daughter navigate these challenges in a healthy way.
For parents, Austin Recovery is hosting a back-to-school workshop on August 8 from 9am-4:30pm. This workshop will address peer relationships and substance abuse, and is also offered for educators and counselors to spot warning signs of depression.
We know that going back to school can be fun, nervewracking, stressful and exciting, sometimes all at once! Set your daughter and your family up for success by enrolling in a workshop today!
