The Creative Healer

Growing up in George West, Texas until moving to Austin at age 14, Emily is a true Texan, and ‘original’ Austinite. She nurtures the community in many ways including through her work with students at Austin Community College. Recently, Emily decided to re-engage with more direct clinical work and joined GT Therapy group as a Senior Therapist.

Emily is truly a woman of many skills and trades. She has this passionate and inquisitive professional self, coupled with a creative, healing, and nurturing personal side. These parts seem to naturally blend together in beautiful ways, providing the connection needed to invite growth. When practicing self care, Emily gets creative in the kitchen with the freshest ingredients right from her family farm. Cooking is her love language and the dishes she most enjoys making include: whole grain mustard, & watermelon cucumber salad. As she creates in the kitchen, she loves listening to her colony of society finches as they serenade her home. She of course, has a knack for house plants and a self described “gypsy gardening” approach to landscaping outside allowing the plants to choose their path and placement. Just in talking with Emily, you feel her energy as a sort of anchor. If you’re interested in working with Emily, reach out through our website to check for openings. May you find healing in creative ways until then.
