Meet Catherine Brocato

Hi GT Therapy Group community! I’m really excited (and honestly so grateful) to be joining the team as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington with a specialization in Children and Families, and stepping into this next chapter feels both grounding and meaningful!

What keeps pulling me toward this work is the human connection at the heart of it. I’ve worked with kids in school settings and adults in agency spaces, and across the board, one thing always stands out: everyone has a story, hard moments, and seasons of life that deserve to be met with care and compassion. I value the therapeutic relationship deeply and believe that feeling truly seen and supported can be incredibly healing on its own. I’m honored to walk alongside you, wherever you may be in your journey!

I love working with kids, tweens, teens, young adults, adults, and families, especially those navigating life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment patterns, and their relationship with their body. My work is trauma-informed, relational, and collaborative, and I often draw from Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic work, attachment-based therapy, and mindfulness. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, warm, and real… where you don’t need to have the “right” words or everything figured out to show up.

If you’re someone who feels overwhelmed, stuck in your head, navigating big emotions or transitions, or just wanting a space where you can be fully yourself without judgment… we might be a good fit. I care deeply about meeting people where they are and moving at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable!

Outside of the therapy room, you’ll probably find me snuggled up with my dog Heidi watching reality TV, hiking the Greenbelt, teaching a Pilates class, baking something sweet, or checking out Austin’s newest restaurant with friends. I’m a messy human too, and I truly believe that embracing our humanness is what allows for deeper connection and meaningful healing. I’m here to meet you where you are, and I’d be honored to work together!
